Our Story
Slocan City International Music and Art Fair Association is a non profit society established in 2022 by a voluntary board of directors, to deliver an annual music and art festival bringing local, national and international live music and art to the village of Slocan. The first annual Slocan City International Music and Art Fair took place as the launch of Slocan City Hotel in June 2022 and was such a success we decided to make it grow.
Music & Art Fair in Slocan City
The main festival takes place in June each year, kicking off the summer season and shaking off those winter blues, including musicians from BC, Canada, the US and more, and hosted by VJ Michael Williams. Alongside the music there’s a showcase of visual and contemporary art. As well as the main weekend Slocan City IMAF will bring once off performances, workshops and other events to the Slocan Valley throughout the year.
Our aim is to provide access to high quality cultural experiences to those living in the locality, and to introduce artists and audiences from across the country and beyond to the wonders of the Slocan valley and its community, developing Slocan into a destination for creative excellence outside of the conventional urban cultural centres.
